How did you meet your current, or most recent, significant other?
My current significant other's name is Lyle. We met at the SPCA. He's swell.
So, how did do with that weekend goal? No goal? What did you do this weekend?
I went camping with a bunch of my favorite people, including the delightful small Hazel. We were in Willits, at the wholly amazing Camp & Sons, where we swam in ponds and relaxed in hot tubs, lounged on the lawn playing games (Settlers of Catan! Woohoo!), ate vast amounts of decadent foods (heirloom tomatoes, tri-tip, grenache rose) and generally enjoyed ourselves immensely. As we watched the stars come out on Saturday night I turned to a friend and said "We have such fucking amazing lives, don't we?"
What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?

um. yeah. I dunno.
I think we can all agree, however, that Tori Amos nursing a piglet is the *worst* album cover of all time.
What's the oldest digital camera photo you have on your computer? When is it from? Let's see it!
I'm sure there are older ones somewhere, but this is from SXSW 2000 and is notable as "the night Heather met Derek", among other things. Clockwise from Derek on the left is Heather, then maybe Shauna (?) then me, then Pableaux, Lance and Jeff.

I definitely have older things around, bits of Roman glass and coins and things from digs in Israel, but this is the oldest precisely dated thing I can lay my hands on right this second. And that I already have pictured somewhere in my Flickr stream.
